To give you a better idea of where each of these rooms is in our home, first I want to (re)share a picture of our actual floorplan that I posted back in 2017. We have a 2008 Fleetwood Park Model that is about 11 feet wide by 35 feet long and just under 400 square feet. It has one ground floor bedroom and one bathroom, a kitchen, a dining nook, and a living room, plus a loft that is somewhere between 100 and 150 square feet. We have a four-foot shower, a standard flushing toilet, a twenty-gallon electric water heater (located under the stairs), an 18-cubic-foot refrigerator/freezer, a full-sized propane range, a double-basin 36-inch stainless steel sink, an over-the-range standard microwave, and a full-sized dishwasher.
The house has forced-air heat powered by a propane furnace that we never use due to personal preference as well as the availability of cheap, (mostly) clean electricity in the Pacific Northwest. We currently have a Frigidaire 8000 BTU window-mounted heat pump in the living room and an Envi Heater by eHeat in the bedroom. The Frigidaire unit has supplemental heat strips for when the temperature dips too low for the heat pump to work effectively. Together these units keep our house warm on all but the coldest winter nights, and the air conditioner function of the Frigidaire keeps us cool enough in the summer in most of the house. We also have ceiling fans in both the living room and the bedroom where there are vaulted ceilings.
We make good use of our bathroom vented fan as well as our vented range hood fan to aid with indoor air quality in addition to running air purifiers in the loft and the bedroom at night. Whenever feasible, we open the windows to help bring in fresh air as well.
